Technological limitations with traditionally crafted nippers require other manufacturers to use softer steel. The result: tools that require frequent sharpening or regular replacement. Soft steel dulls very quickly, especially when the sharpened blades keep banging into each other. Not only that, but grinding down the steel to re-sharpen the edges removes a good amount of material. Do this often enough and pretty soon there’s no more steel left to sharpen. Let’s not even discuss the sheer amount of time required to put an edge back on the tool correctly, and that’s only if you can even find someone to sharpen them. It doesn’t have to be that way. Unique technology allows the use of super hard steel so the nippers stay sharper, longer. It also allows for honing the nipper. Simply run the blades two or three times along a genuine Arkansas stone. Our nippers will stay razor sharp for decades!

This is especially frustrating, and costly (constant replacement or sending out for sharpening) to nail professionals. The result is that our nippers stay much sharper longer, and with just seconds of honing will stay that way for decades!
You can actually resharpen in seconds! You've seen the great chefs sharpen their knives before preparing a meal. With GERmanikure's special Arkansas Novaculite Honing Stone, all it takes is to gently run the blades over the honing stone a couple of times and the blades will be razor sharp. No grinding, just gliding! This is a great way to impress clients with a personal “sharpening” just for them.
